    HI,
I have purchased a lg rh-4920w dvd recorder 80gig hdd.I need to know if it possible to record a comercial dvd onto my hdd and then back onto a blank dvd?I have also tried copying somthing from my hdd to a blank dvd-r verbatim, only to find out that it had only copied about 4 min of data.It told me that the disc is full.I tried using that same dvd-r onto my other dvd players and it works fine.Only that it has about 4 min of data. Can you please help me there?

    Thank you

Of course not, all stand alone recorders are designed to resist dvd piracy like this. Indeed most won't even let you record a dvd you have made on that machine back to the hard disk, so if you need multiple copies remember to create them all before removing the original from the hard drive.
