Recordable DVD & Sky+

I'm thinking about buying one of the Phillips Recordable DVD Players (DVD+RW) and was wondering if anyone knew if I can transfer recordings that are currently on my Sky+ hard drive to DVD and keep the Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack? I guess following on from that, can I record Sky 5.1 encoded screenings direct to DVD, maintaining the digital soundtrack?

Not with the current models of DVD Recorders you can't. I personally doubt whether you ever will, it can only encourage piracy. I mean, could you record DD 5.1 on your digicam?
