My Mum has Freeview and wants to be able to watch Freeview and record terrestrial at same time on to her VCR. Is this possible. I didn't think it was as the aerial is connected to the Freeview box whereas with SKY you've obviously got a satellite dish separately and so the arial can go straight into VCR.?

Most freeview boxes have a rf pass through loop meaning that you can use an airel out of the freview into the video and record that way (i.e. the tunner on the video to get terrestrial).

All you have to do is tune your video, i'm guessing you have freview pluged in via scart, so make sure you select the channel and not av1/2 or or whatever.

Don't understand. At the mo aerial goes from wall into freeview box and then from freeview into TV. Do I take it out of TV and put it in VCR?

If so then how does Freeview signal reach TV?

Run a cable from the VCR to the TV.
