Are you feeling lucky, punk? Well are you?

Well, I mentioned this in another thread, but thought it deserved a thread of its own.

Discount Electrical have a few recon units in - £950 inc VAT & del - presumeably the PSU problem (or whatever it was) has been fixed on these. Ben pixel checked "mine", and they come with full 2 year warranty.

    Stampede?

Now that's a bloody good price - and you'd half expect the problem to have been rectified so it "should" be a reliable unit.

    Good spot!

would it not be "more" reliable as the panel has been fully run in?

Maybe they should sell them at a premium....

As far as it being a good spot, I just happened to contact Ben at the right time - about time I was lucky.....

Apparantly there were 4, my mates bagged one.

Haven't seen one myself (owning a tosh mt7) but can't wait to compare it.

Interested as to what you think MR D. because I know you haven't always been LCD friendly. Keep us informed as will I.

No I said I wasn't very impressed with the sony 10HT I saw.
I also said I wasn't impressed by the sharp 9000 either so does that make me anti-DLP ?

I don't expect to be exactly blown away with the panny either but for that money it will do in the meantime until either the decent LCOS units appear or the missus retracts her CRT ban.

    Rone,
the main difference i saw on a short comparison between the AE100 and the MT7 was picture detail level etc. The AE100 looked fine on it's own, but next to the MT7 looked a little fuzzy and lacked the fine detail etc (this will be down to the lower res panels).

But as i have said earlier i still maintain the AE100 to be cracking for the money, making most other PJ seem well over priced!.
