Hi!

I have recently bought a new Sony W705b 32" LED TV and I am very happy with the product! I do however want to get my display and picture settings optimised but to be honest, I have no idea what effects most of my TV settings do and I need some tips or settings to go by. I have trawled through google trying to find a settiings guide to no avail. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The cinema 1 preset isn't far off on the w7 for a natural filmic picture, you can adjust the backlight to your own viewing environment. No more than 5 is needed for a bright room as the tv throws out a lot of light. If your using the tv at night in low light then I would suggest you lower it to 2 or 3 to enhance the blacks. If your gaming then use game standard or game original. Again alter the backlight to your viewing conditions. You may get some more detailed settings on the thread w7/w8 but what may look good to you may not look good to someone else. I would suggest avoiding the vivid mode and also make sure you go into the general settings and turn the Eco mode off, it might be handy having the tv adjust the backlight automatically but it tends to dim the picture too much in my opinion. :)
