Hey I'm looking for a good cheap camcorder to record my ps3 gameplay, along with other things as i have not got a camcorder. Anyone know any? I want it to be able to be chargable through sockets so battery life is not an issue and preferably want the camcorder to be able to record to external hard drive so i can upload easily and have more space to record on. Any recommendations?

You don't state a budget
Good and cheap tend not to go together, nontheless cheap is a relative term
Are you recording off a Display?

Yeah umm the best relationship between cheap in your opinion, and good. Nothing over £200/$400 or w.e it is around that as I'm just looking to record vids off my 32" tv...

£200 gets you a miniDV model : Canon MD 205 ect or a Canon FS100
Different media, Tape is easily best quality but access to scenes is ...tape not HDD
FS100 uses SD card but may struggle in lower light
What do you want to do with the footage
Even cheaper is Samsungs MX20 ( read sticky thread) also SD card but uses h.264 ( SD not hi def)
Ideal for PC or YouTube use
There are HDD camcorders about £200 but Im loath to recommend any as Ive found thier performance universally lacking, regardless of brand
How did you intended to capture the game play? recording your screen?
