Hi Lovely Peoples,
Back again looking some recommendations. Bought several pieces of kit based on really helpful advice on this forum and never been let down yet!
Some great experts on here.
I am on the look out for a decent quality combined CD and Network player that i can use in conjunction with my Marantz PM6005 amplifier.
budget, ideally no more than £500-£600 if possible.
Don't know a huge amount about these, but tried to explain as best as possible
Requirements as follows:
Notes:
1. Does not require its own speaker terminals (as will be connected into the PM6005)
2. I Don't subscribe to any streaming services, however do store a 15,000 plus song library in Apple's iCloud (see note on iTunes match cloud support in desirable) that i access via iPhone etc. All music is owned and restriction free.
Mandatory
1. Must have a decent CD player
2. Must have built in wI-fI
3. Must support both airplay and bluetooth connectivity without add on devices required
4. Must come in Black
5. Can play music from a USB device that has been formatted using the layout of Apple iTunes/Music and is not cumbersome to find artists, albums etc
Desirable
1.Can display embedded album artwork metadata
2. Can support all UK based radio stations and play same with ease.
3. Can in some 'magic way' stream direct from your iTunes match/Apple iCloud music library (unlikely) and link direct to music library as opposed to having to use a USB device with music stored on it. (Note, i do not subscribe to Apple music, only to iTUNES Match to store my library in the cloud).
I have looked at the likes of the Marantz M-CR612 which seems a good fit but has its own speaker terminals etc which i don't need. (I would propose connecting the the audio out via RCA to the CD port on the PM6005).
Really appreciate any recommendations folks that may match the above criteria or perhaps something else i haven't thought off?
Thank you all
Simon.
