    Hi all,

I am after advice on a cheap projector.

I am looking for a projector that is around £200-£300. The projector will be used in the garden at night only, and it will be brought back inside when it is not in use. The projector will not be used frequently, thinking more of having friends over to watch football and the occasional film.

Any recommendations on where to start, please?

    Thanks,
    Foz

Given your limited budget had you thought through a solution for sound and for a screen?

    Hi Vila,

Good point, I hadn't actually considered that - But I do I have some speakers that I can use for this setup. Also this will just be projected on to a white wall - I know not the best, but it will be OK for what I'd like to use this for.

    Thanks,
    Foz

Have a look through the classified on here - your budget should be enough for a second hand 1080p DLP optoma projector

I forgot to mention that this is a gift - So I would rather buy new if possible.

Unfortunately theres not really anything I can recommend New at that budget new - I think you might get a cheaper optoma in a sale at richer sounds for closer to £500 but £300 will only get badly made projectors you see on eBay /Amazon that are very dim.

Cheap Battery operated led projectors are going to be very dim - ‘good’ led technology is considerably more expensive than the equivelent bulb based projectors
