recommend speaker cable

    hi,i have very basic speaker cable,connecting mission 73i,3802 denon amp,pioneer 444,sounds very bright and harsh,which speaker cable would improve things,if any,there is an echo in my listening room,does this make a differance,any help,pat

    My belief is that speaker cable makes a small difference to the overall sound and if your system sounds bright and harsh it is more likely to be the hardware or the room itself causing the problem and not the cable.

    hi ian,so what do you think is the weak link,or as you say the room.Does a room that echoes a lot tend to make music sound bright,the walls are solid concrete,is it that the sound bounces against these walls and doesn,t against plaster walls,pat

    I'm no expert on room acoustics but would imagine that if a room echoes it will make music brighter. Soft furnishings help to break up the harshness of a room
