The little Sennheiser earbud type phones are good value and have reasonable sound quality at that price level, ranging from about £15 up if i remember....well worth a look at that price level.

Sennheiser MX400's from Maplin might be worth a try for a tenner. However, they dont isolate very well, and have very little bass to speak of.

Might be worth seeing if you can find some Sony MDR-EX71 canal phones, which are the polar opposite to the Sennheisers. Bassy, and quite bright, but with a bit of midrange suckout, but isolate very well.

If you dont mind them over your head, then the Beyerdynamic DT231s might be worth a try too.

Shame that £20 is your limit for these,as the Etymotic Research ear canal phones are superb in every way....excellent isolation(up to 20dB from ambient noise),and very good quality sound.
