Can anyone suggest a good laptop please? Looking for something mainly for business use...but if it can play games as well it would be a bonus.

    Must have at least 512mb.

Also want it to have a widescreen, with something like the "diamon vision" technology in it - as these are much clearer and sharper than the standard TFT's.

Would be nice if it has separate graphics memory too...maybe an ATi card of some sort...

Dell are well worth a look, haven't seen a duffer laptop from them for a long while now...

£600 is a little tight for the Spec you're after possibly, but you'll find something there or thereabouts.

I've got the Inspiron 510M... I was an IBM thinkpad fanatic until I got into Dell..
Same bits in a different colour box, at less than half the price usually... :)

The Inspiron 6000 just about fits the bill...?

slightly over budget, but that is as close as you will get I'd imagine, Dell are rarely beaten on laptop prices.

That's a good price by the looks of it, It should be a quality machine coming from HP.
I have no experience of Sempron processors though, so can't give any kind of recommendation on that basis....
