So my old faithful fat PS3 has started to have trouble taking and ejecting discs so I need to find a replacement. Will look into getting repaired but not sure if it will be economical, haven't gamed on it in years: it's solely used to play BRs.

What are AVFs recommendations? I just need 2D, do not need any smart features or streaming services. Don't have a budget but do not need a fancy player, the PS3 has been adequate for my current setup.

Thanks in advance.

We'll I've got a Panasonic 130 in the bedroom. I paid 50 but it's back up to 70. It does have features the features that you don't require, for now anyway, but a great basic player even at 70.

I bought my grandad for his birthday this LG bluray player from asda its tiny and so far has been brilliant very simple and easy to use and as far as picture quality goes i cant see the difference from my Samsung one that was triple the price... Watch the price though as i bought it for only £35 earlier on in the year and im sure it will be back on sale!
