Question Recommend an iPad app please for Marantz CD 6006

I am still exploring the new-to-me cd6006 and am impressed with the usb iPod functions.

I have an iPad air2 that I can dedicate to streaming my music stored on hard drive, usually I stream with squeezebox but it would be good to reduce the number of devices in the system.

Any recommendations for apps that play from the iPad, or like Amazon music, play on the iPad?

mConnect player connecting to the Marantz via UPnP/DLNA?

(although your drives will need to be network attached ie. a NAS type device with a basic UPnP/DLNA server/support)

Also Linn Kazoo might be worth a try.

But you'll need to run BubbleUPnP server somewhere on your network or NAS (btw. this isn't the same as the BubbleUPnP Android app) in order to add OpenHome capabilities (which is what Linn Kazzoo uses) to your UPnP/DLNA shares/renderer.

Although if you have a server on 24/7 to run software you might want to look at Logitech Media Server with the Material Skin and UPnP plugins enabled. Far more flexibility that any standalone app. Although you can get compatible iOS apps to control it if you'd rather not use the web interface on your iPad.

Thanks jamieu for staying while I check out how it will work for me.
My server is running LMS 8.0 or Minimserver + Bubbleupnp on NAS and Linn Kazoo on ipad.
My options with Squeezebox Classic LMS are - Squeezepad and iPeng Player (£8.99+£4.99)
My option without a hardware player is ?
I set up Openhome on the only renderer that was recognised, a chromecast in the kitchen. The ipad wasnt seen as a player.

I have probably missed out on an essential step.

The ipad plays BBC sounds and MConnect also sees the servers and plays on the Marantz CD player without needing Squeezebox Classic in the system.

I tried foobar2000 on the ipad and the player recognised the minimserver and I now have playback through the CD player.

Foobar2000 looks quite clean, it doesnt show the file bit rate or type. Knowing how customisable fb2000 is, i will look for a way to set this up.

I have been listening to my wav files, minimserver to foobar2000 on iPad for a few days.

The marantz remote controls play, stop, forward track and random play.

This is a reasonable option for media server and cd player, and gives replaces my network bridge and DAC.
