My BT2091 keeps over heating so i'm looking to replace it with something good for streaming HD video from my PC to my laptop (in a different room.)

Netgear have been recommended by a friend, are they any good?

If I connect my main pc via wired ethernet can I still network to a wireless device like a laptop? (I can't figure out how to do this on th BT2091)

I really want to be able to see and share files on each computer from the other but don't know how to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

Ive always used netgear they are fantastic & 2 yr guarentee ( I think ?)

My latest on is the rangemax wireless one ( forgot the number ?) if you have a couple of 108mb cards transfereing data is very quick.

Ive always found the software easy to use (if a little slow) & very robust, mine is on 24/7 & requires a reboot maybe once a month?

I've been using a Netgear DG834Pn for a while now and it's stood up to all kinds of abuse.

2 kids playing World of Warcraft almost continuously, torrent downloads and normal everyday use. No problems so far, rarely have to reboot.

NETGEAR DG834 G or DG834PN or DG834N - depends on what wireless speed you want - if its just for surfing/email etc then a DG834G is more than fine
