    Hi

Can someone recommend a good wireless router for Xbox live.

Current router is causing problems with NAT settings. But I also need a better wireless performance as my internet radio just doesn't seem to work well enough through the wireless extender added onto the current router.

Would a Netgear DG834PN do the job?

    Thanks

I'm running a Netgear DG834G at the moment, does fine.

Here's a search on some other people's opinions: link.

I was very happy with my Netgear DG834G until we upgraded to 8mb and it couldnt cope - it was a v1 hardware though.

The new HomeHub we got free works very well with no problems. The UI lets you setup port forwarding etc.

Another vote for the NetGear, been very good & the 'phone support (only needed it a couple of times in the early days) is excellent.

On the rare occasion it does wobble a quick reboot & good as gold again....

I had the Netgear DG834PN ..... for about a day - didn't get on with it at all - poor wireless reception and moderate NAT at best.

Replaced it with the DG834N - superb - great signal and an open NAT after I opend a couple of ports - took about 5 mins to get sorted - well recommended

Currently using a Buffalo Airstation AG108 and using "g" mode for my PC network and "a" mode for the 360. It has worked perfectly from day 1 and (touches wood quickly) in the 3 months I have been using it, I have not had to reset it once. It also works as an acces point so you could buy 2, connect one directly to the 360 and double the network bandwidth, good for streaming HD video.

Gets a solid 9/10 from me :smashin:
