I have a HP laptop with a USB C port.

I'm looking for a hub that can connect via this port and links to a monitor via HDMI. I also want it to charge via the USB cable.

I'm not too fussed about keyboard and mouse as these are Bluetooth.

I've seen a few devices but a lot don't seem to charge the laptop and are focussed on connecting devices.

Any advice appreciated.

Also as a note I have a Steam Deck on preorder so if it can also support that it would be a bonus but not essential.

Thanks. Will check it out.

It the USB C port is thunderbolt compatible then there are generic dock stations available that will charge the laptop, however the safest option is a HP dock. Make sure you get the right one for your model laptop.

Have you got the laptop model number ?

“1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge)”

honestly I would just get an HP docking station - that port will charge and the HDMI and DP ports on the docking station will work.

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.

This is the laptop I have:

I can't see reference to thunderbolt.
Envy specific dock, it has your model listed in the compatible list, £82
