Recommend a Plasma...

    or LCD panel

    My dad wants to get either a plasma tv or an LCD panel. He’s got £2,500 to spend on it, wants it to be HD ready, at least 40", and preferably, just a panel with no / detachable speakers and component inputs.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't think you can go wrong with the 8th gen Panny plasmas (and plasma are better than LCD :) )

    TH42PWD8 is only standard def resolution but is still fully HD compatible with the appropriate terminal board and will produce a cracking picture albeit slightly scaled (many will argue you can't tell the difference at normal viewing distance) If you really need those extra lines of res, the PHD8's are out next month I think. I recommend AVsales,
