I recently bought a digital SLR camera, an Olympus E20 (digitaldepot have a special offer for the camera and 3 extra lenses for £700).

I want to use the manual settings more, but know nothing about aperture setting, shutter priorities, etc.

Can anyone recommend a book that'll teach me the basics. Or is it worth enrolling on a weekend course or something. Thanks.

Check out the forums at www.dpreview.com for advice and links.

Have you tried experimenting with the camera and taking the same shot on differnent settings to see the result?

    Edit:
Also have a look at www.7dayshop.com - they have a number of photography books in their clearance section. Then if need be compare prices and reviews on www.amazon.co.uk
