Can anyone recommend a 20" widescreen monitor if there's such a size available? It has to have built-in speakers as well as DVI. It's use will be for watching DigiTV & DVD's and will be a smaller version of my current HCPC in another room linked to home network.

    Cheers,
    David.

    Why, exactly, 20 inch?

There are many choices at 22-23 inch, and some at 17 and 15. But 20.......don't think anyone manufactures at this size.

    Apple do a v.nice 20". About £700 I think.

Dell do one too, no idea what it's like though.

In fact have a good look round the site. Try for 16ms response time or better.

Apple 20" CINEMA, without doubt. Just been reduced from £999 to £699 too.

My recommendation would change if Sony decided to release a 20"+ X-Black panel, fingers crossed

Dell have finally got round to bringing their 20" widescreen to the UK and at less than £500 all in (inc VAT + delivery) it comes in at a cool £200 less than the apple. Meant to be a very nice monitor link.

Any link to this Sony 23" X-black? HAvn't seen it around myself?

Oh yeah a nice long thread on the Dell display can be found here.
