Not sure where to put this but here seems like a good bet!

What would you recommend as a good quality 17" TFT.

It MUST be 400mmx400mm H&W maximum
It MUST have speakers
It MUST have thin bezel
It MUST have at least a swap out waranty
It MUST be available in Black or Silver

Prefer Fast response so 16ms? Maybe 20ms.

It will be used as a TV screen for my kids of a PC with a nebula card in it, so ghosting could be an issue.

Which models, how much and where from :)

Thanks
Steve

Hi I'm looking to buy a new 17" LCD soon (once I've sold my 19" CRT on Ebay - only 3 days to go and my reserve has been met!) and I'm either going to get the Acer AL732 for 374.82 inc VAT from Dabs, or the Relisys that's just come out, and reviewed here:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86442

Now the Acer is a 16ms panel with S-Video, Composite, Analog VGA and DVI inputs. The Relisys may be 16ms or it could be 25ms not even Matt is sure. The Relisys loses the DVI but has component video is (YrCr...) and S-video and composite. It's a 16:9 widescreen with tuner built in and I think Dabs has for about 450 quid inc vat.

Both have speakers built in.

Hope this helps

Just bought an AOC LM721A from overclockers.co.uk
its listed on there site as the older 720A but you do get a 721A which is 16ms.

It looks good and is very sharp. Havn't got any ghosting at all allthough only played Ghost recon and its not exactly fast paced.

I am really pleased with it and it cost £288 inc :)

Link but shows wrong spec as still shows older model: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_TFT_Monitors_112.html

Cheapest I found here: NOTE WRONG PIC AGAIN BUT CORRECT SPECS http://www.pcnextday.co.uk/product_...0-5025&group=AOC&pgroup=MON&ref_site=dealtime

Review here but need to convert from german to english and shows the right model woo hoo lol : http://translate.google.com/transla...AOC+lm721a+review&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Hope that helps.
