what is the latest and best Quad Core CPU to get?
Best bang for buck is the Q6600 Go. It can overclock like mad and only costs £171.85
Its also cooler running and uses less power than the standard B3 Q6600.
as above - end of thread
Thirded! It's the best value for money chip out there and with the G0 overclocking potential you can get a lot more out of it.
ive got mine oc'd to a solid 3.0 on an Asus P5N32-E SLI MOBO and Vista Ultimate x64....thats 100% stable and i am still looking to get another 200-400Mhz out of it, just havent had the time yet....
heres my rig : http://www.totalgamingleague.com/profile/VitalZign
Great chips arent they.
i like the 680i chipsets, EVGA seems to make the best boards for overclocking....but the new P35 are even better yet with promise to support the new Penryns....
unless you were talkin bout the Core 2, in which case, yes, they are amazing too....
Yes I meant the Core 2 chip range. Superbly overclockable.
cheers for that link razor m8 just ordered a go q6600 comes saturday for 180,cheaper than overclockers, did you get yours from there m8 and are they definitely go quads, nearly there now m8 just that gtx needed
Nice one Sunderland. I hope I am not costing you too much money here....
I actually got my Go Q6600 from ebuyer for £171.
Try ebuyer or ocuk for a 8800GTX. Get the unbranded one for around £300. Then over clock it with rivatuner.
If you want a branded one then look at the BFG OC range, its on special at ocuk (this is the one I have).
