reciever setup help

    hi i have the panasonic saxr70 reciever and was wondering what the filter option does. i get the option to set the filter at 100, 150 or 200. not sure what this is. can anybody help.

    I'm no expert but i recon the settings are for the sub, anything ( freq) below the setting you set will be sent to the sub,

    i did notice an increase in bass when i took it down to 100. i think it will need to be at 100, can anybody advise me.

    Sounds to me like a high pass filter for the speakers. The sub should have its own low pass filter.

    I have satellite speakers so I have mine set to 150Hz. If you have floorstanders or large standmounts, then I would set it to 100Hz - but thats just me :smashin:
