Anyone had them? These last few evenings have ben riddled with constant disconnects, sometimes booting me out before I've even joined the game!

It only seems to be L4D too - everything else is working fine.

    So annoying :(

p.s. has a patch date been set yet?

We were talking about this last weekend as it was doing the same and was terrible. My theory was that they are doing some work on the servers getting them ready for the DLC which they are doing.

Still no news on it yet but it cant be far away now.

Cheers, kinda glad it's not me but it sucks that it's happening - although if it's down to patch-preparation-tinkering, I'll calm down.

Just hope it comes out soon, so many ruined games lately, either by disconnects or by glitching turds!

Glad it's not just me either, in that case! I've given up playing this for the time being, as the connections have been so shoddy lately. If it's universal, then that definitely suggests some server-related issues, which will hopefully be sorted soon. Let's all hope it's the DLC!

I suspect it's a 'too popular' issue. In that most of the dedicated servers are in the US, and thegame is so popular, that you get allocated to a US server, because the Euro ones are full.

Hopefully they will sort it out pronto..

You could be onto something there as I'm also joining a lot of games where I'm red-barred on the old connection quality indicator.

It makes me think my net is playing up but it's perfect when I'm not on L4D!

I've recently come back to L4D and have been getting this i.e. Red barred connection and disconnects from the server, but If its DLC related I dont mind too much.

Sorry to go off topic a little, but I was playing a quick game of verses with some americans last night. I joined on act 4 'hospital' and for some reason the survivors team were obsessed with carrying a green oxygen tank throughtout the level. Comms wern't working so I couldnt ask what my team were up to? Think it might have been something to combat the generator glitch when you come out of the elevator, never found out because they lost it when waitig for the lift to come - wierd!

That's exactly what it's for. The more explosives the merrier because there's a couple of generators up there and a forklift truck which can also be moved.

    I thought as much.

Quite clever I suppose, because it seems during every game of Versres these days there's always a generator waiting for you when those lift doors ping open.

sorry to go off topic a little!
