Are there any receivers out there that still support the DVD-Audio format (assuming you can find a player)?

All receivers are capable of supporting DVD-A, it's just a sound format, no different from Blu-Ray Audio. Any player that is marked as UD, universal, will support DVD-A. Same goes for SACD, it's the universal players that have this capability. You will certainly find it easier and a little cheaper to acquire SACDs than DVD-A.

Good place to find prices on the secondary market is here:

DVD audio content is PCM at up to 24bit 192 khz for stereo or up to 24bit 96khz for multichannel.

Pretty much all receivers can handle that.
As gibbsy says , its a compatible player you need.

Best current option for a player is the Sony x800 as this truly does play any disc format around inc DVD A and SACD it must be pointed out that it doesn’t decode Dolby Vision but that’s about it.
