One of the features i use the most on my Denon 11SR is to split the audio and video source. E.g Listen to the radio/CD and play the PS2.

However, this cannot be done via the remote and i have to open the amp pannel, doesn't really bother me at the mo, but i am about to do a proper install and it would be a bit of a pain to do it every time.

Therefore i was wondering if there were any similar (i.e. not a lexi MC12) receivers/processors that would do this over the remote?

Often you can do extra stuff by remote that isn't available on your particular remote. I discovered this by trying out codes on my One-For-All URC-7560 remote.

My Pioneer AX10 changes Audio&Video every time I select a new input/source, luckily I can manually (by remote) switch the video input seperately afterwards.

A low-end Yamaha receiver I used to own only changed Video input when it made sense (=selecting a Video source), which is pretty smart!

Bit odd that you can't change it via the remote. On the A1SE & A1SR you just press the Video Select button on the remote and scroll through the inputs (assuming the video circuit is switched on).

This feature is available in the menu on the AV8, it is also available via pronto using direct IR codes. The AVR300 will also offer this feature, in the same way, when it is launched.
