hi peeps...new member to the forum, wow at last im getting somewhere with help into the realms of home cinema et al!

ive got £700 to blow on a receiver and surround speaker set up
to complement my tosh32" tv & sd220 ( which im really happy with)

thought about the sony1080, but theyve been pulled back to the factory, so any guidance/ or your own experiences of av receivers you can give me would be greatly appreciated....yamaha? any good are they?

    Yamaha 630 / 640 good
    Pioneer 811 good (best?)
    Marantz 4300/5300 almost as good
    Denon 1803 almost as good
Go to a dealer & get a demo it's the only way to know you're getting what you want
all rankings just my opinion of course
