Hi, we have been told that a higher power amp (Arcam AVR300) would be better for lower volume listening than a less powerful one (Denon 3805). By power, I mean actual watts per channel, not just manufacturers quoted figures. Is this true, or a sales pitch? Will the effect be reduced by using low impedance speakers? - we will be using Quad L series, rated at 6 ohms We did try demoing this but the room size was very different from ours, so it was hard to ccompare this particular feature.
