After a bit of reading I think I've decided on the Denon AVR-3802. It has the extras that i want such as Pro-Log II and the ability to accomodate future upgrades such as DVD Audio and SACD. Given that its is now available, with a bit of searching, for £650 it seems the obvious unit.
Is there anything else that I should be looking at, with these features and in a similar price range.

There are competitive amps around from Yamaha, Harmon Kardon, Marantz and Onkyo but all of the mags have agreed that the Denon 3802 is the best thing since sliced bread and I for one cannot remember the last time that HCC, Home Entertainment and What Hifi agreed on anything.

There have been many posts on this forum and the home-cinema newsgroup about this amp and not one has anything detrimental to say about it.
