Hi all

I'm after some advice. I currently have a 5.1 setup with a Yamaha RX-V779 powering KEF 301s at front and 101s for surround. Also there is a small gemini woofer all in a very small basement room.
I'm looking to upgrade and go for Atmos with a couple more 101s on the ceiling.
The receiver I'm liking the look of is the Marantz NR1711 but I understand it's quite highly priced for what you get and also could be affected by the Xbox series X passthrough issue.

The question is whether I'm wise looking at the Marantz or whether there is something less expensive recommended that will do an equal/better job considering the speakers I have? I like the slimline look but it doesn't really matter as it would be in a cupboard. Also, the Marantz is right at the top end of my budget.

I'm looking at mostly film/tv watching with some Xbox X gaming thrown in. I very rarely listen to music in this room.

Any advice gratefully received.
