I know little about remotes and only recently got an MX-500. I like it very much, all except for the plain I find it to program, maybe it needs time to work at it but I find it tedious.

I very much like the idea of a PC-based setup and so the MX-700se seems ideal.
What I'm interested in are any vews as to why I shouldn't get one, ie. what problems do they have that aren't obvious?

I ask because I have also been researching Prontos (again, for their PC-based setup), though I'm not convinced I want a touch-screen device, in the course of which I've seen comments suggesting build quality is suspect.

Does the MX-700se have any vices? Does the software work?

Thanks for that link, I'm still discovering new sites dedicated to remotes. :)
