Want some feedback on upgrading rear speakers Got some Kef's(£200) at the moment. How much do you have to pay for a decent pair and are they that important.

If you want to run a 5.1 ' at least ' system, then rear speakers are obviously important.

If your Kef's where £200 then i would say they should be decent !!! But, what are they ???

If you have a budget system then, dont spend loadsa money, and vice versa. You should always try to make your rears match the rest of the system. Even stick to the same brand if you can.

I stuck with M&K all round, apart from the sub !

    Cheers

I wonder do ProAc make rear speakers because my Fronts and Centre are all ProAc. If nobody knows I'll ring them.

Well you could use a pair of Tablette 2000 ... but they're probably a bit more than you were thinking of spending and I think they would outclass even the Pioneer AX10 that I think you're looking at.

Many company's "rear" speaker are just a pair of standmount.

Really you need to set a budget then look around at a suitable price.

My rear speakers need to be wall mounted up near the ceiling I live in a bungalow so I can run my cable up into the attic and then down into the speakers like I'm doing now.

powder40 you still haven't mentioned what Kef's you have. I recently demoed the Kef Q8's and they excellent.

Petrolhead has bought a pair to go with the rest of his Kef kit and they are stunning: wall mounted and less than £180.

What have you got at the front??

    Regards
