Hi everyone,
I purchased 2 KEF T301 speakers to be used as the front left and right, and intend to purchase the KEF T301C to be used as the center. I also have a SVS SB-2000 subwofer. Regarding the rear speakers, naturally my original plan was to go with the KEF T101, which should be excellent when mounted on a wall. Then I realized that, since in a 5.1 setup the rear spekaers should be placed on the sides and not behind the viewer/listener, I shouldn't mount the speakers on the wall behind the sofa, so the T101's aren't the optimal solution. My current thought is to buy two Polk Audio Signature S10E as rear speakers which would be mounted on the wall behind but in an angle towards the viewer/listener, kind of side/rear placement. My living room is 4 meter wide (the distance between the TV wall and the sofa wall), 3 meter long.
So the question is, would it pair fine with the front KEFs? I am a bit troubled because of the crossover with the sub, the KEFs start at 80Hz, while the Polks at 67Hz. Might it cause a problem, should the 5 channels be at a similar friquency response lower bound?
Of course I'm open to other suggestions/recommendations, or even a response that the KEF T101 mounted directly on the wall without any angle towards the listener will be perfectly fine.
Thanks!
