Rear speakers in a 7.1 system

Hi,

In the process of upgrading to a 7.1 system and wanted to check what type of speakers are supposedly best for the rear centres and rear sides.

At present I have B&W DM302's for rears in normal 5.1 and was thinking about the DS6's for rears sides and then using the existing 302's for rear centres.

Does this sound sensible, or should the rear centres in fact be centre speakers (for instance a pair of CC6's).

Thanks,

Dave.

Hi

The DS6 at the sides and the 302´s for rear centres will be fine (its actually the specs that THX adhere to now). Sides are to give a dispersed sound whereas the rear centres are to be more localizable.

Works well enough in my setup (dipole sides, monopole rears).:)
