OK, fairly new to all this and have a silly question.

Front DB1's will be on a pair of dreads, what I want to know is can the rear DB1's be mounted almost at ceiling height, without altering the sound stage too much?

The reason for this is I have a door that would knock one of the speakers, and I dont fancy that.

The other option is put the front speakers on wall brackets and have the rear on the dreads. Then move that speaker out of the way each time I need the door, but the only problem with that is if someone walks in when a film is in full flow. :(

    Thanks

Where is the seating in relation to all of this? In line with the door, or forward of it?

The rears should line up with your ears, not the back of your head.

The speakers will be about 5-6 feet above in each corner of the room. The seating will be just off centre of the room.

Room size is 12 feet X 8 feet.

    Thanks
