question on rearspeakers and their locations

    present as per jpg

    1) Speakers - Mission 773s

    centre under telly

    2) Speakers - Mission 77DS

I am thinking of upgrading the rears to something else and if i get bookshelf type speakers would location 3 be a better bet for the speakers?

dont think i can place the 77DS in the corners, perhaps someone could inform me different.

    distances are apporximate :)

Ideally dipoles/bipoles need to placed directly either side of the listening position to give the best effect (as you have them) having them in the corners will lessen the dispersed effect. Direct radiating speakers can be placed either behind, as you have them, or to the side. It's really a case of experimenting with what sounds best in your room. :)

cheers for that, i want to really move the rears to the corners as they tend to 'stick out' and look crap in the room :)

    sound fine though :)

    suppose i could use a 77ds as a rear centre :)

If you're thinking of adding a rear centre channel then you may find that leaving the 77DS' at the sides and adding a direct radiator at the back works best.;)
