I currently have a Technics Sc-eh760 hi-fi system that has 2 tri-wired front speakers which have good loud speaker cable, plus 1 center and 2 rears that are pre-wired and each has its own single phono / jack input plug. The front's are good center is Ok and rears are a not so good.

I would like to upgrade the rears to some bi-polar model.
Q, can this be done? I thought I could get the speakers and some good cable, wire the speakers as norm and attached the plugs to the hi-fi end. - Will this work? and what do I need to look for - i.e can the amp and or speakers be damaged?

    Hope you can help.
