Realtek 128X chip (Asus O!Play & XTreamer) - Anyone got details?

Anyone got any details/specs of this new chip, and how it compares to the Sigma 863X and 864X chips?

at the moment I'm not sure how it compares to sigma at the moment

this above is for the chipset, the have been customised/programmed it thus the x at the end.

another source said the new nmt players will be cheaper and more powerful then previous models - not sure what chipset they will use.

after some digging round found out that the chipset is actually based on the below.

Realtek RTD1283 but customised one made for the Xtreamer.

it's got more HD capabilities than the RTD1282 so i would say its more powerful.

please note the asus uses the less powerful Realtek 1073 chipset

That's interesting although from the realtek site it sounds like the difference is TV recording.

Sure some will find the DVBT recording valueable, although I have SkyHD so not that bothered

dont take the tv tuner abailtes too seriously, these chips like Sigma were orignially made for IP settop boxes and DVD/blu-ray players, but teh Semiconductors have found out that there is a new market "digitla media adapters" for them, so they are just using osme of the capiblites of the chips in our beloved players.
