No idea why this just popped into my mind, and no I'm not drunk.

How about this for an idea ?

    Take two cheap projectors AE200's

Sit them next to/on top or each other.
Feed them from the same source (splitter cable)

Project one all nice and setup
Then the other layered on top of the 1st image, but moved across half a pixel, thus filling in any screen door from the 1st one.

Both projectors would be covering each others screen door.

Hmmmmm, wonder what it would look like.
Must admit, if I worked in a shop I'd like to try this setup (if only with the menu on screen) to see what the result looked like.

Am I totally mad, or would it possibly work ?

Called "stacking" & no, you're not the first to think of it :)

Usually done with CRTs though but if you do get another AE200 & try it, let us know how you get on.

Dam, there's goes my patent :(

I just wonder if (say) a blue pixel is overlayed (half) by another blue pixel (from the other machine) what would happen.

Brighter picture, or just more of the same brightness.

Oh for working in a projector store and having some fun :)

If I understand it correctly the 'smoothscreen technology' on the Panasonic PT-AE300 already does something similar to this using its 'double refraction crystal device', although not twice as bright obviously.:)
