    Sorry for this post i know they bore people, however the girlfriend is off to buy a tv for her new apartment tmrw and she needs some advice, i havent been keeping up to date recently so i just need a quicj checklist of what i should be looking for.

    Its likely to be a 32" lcd i would imagine. Main things she needs

    a) one that comes with a stand that suits it would be preferable
    b) Needs to cost less than €1500 incl stand and dvd player

    I presume i should be looking for one with high contrast (how high) low reponse (12ms?) and hdtv compat?

    Can any recommend a fairly common lcd (we are in ireland not the same choice) that fulfills the above

    your help is greatly appreciated

    Hi cyrusir :hiya:

    If I had the cash I'd go for this;

    http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_6012.html

    The Diboss 32", it may not be a very well known make but it's less than your 1500E budget + you can plug your PC into it - very handy if you like downloading "NON :suicide: copyright" films, it saves transcoding and burning to disk :boring:
    Like you said, you may not have as much choice in Ireland, but the likes of Amazon sell this product and they deliver to Ireland, so do Kustom - I think?
