Hi - I'm hoping someone can advise me on a couple of queries I have.
I've decided to upgrade my home cinema package from the pioneer sdv323
to separates so I can get the best out of my new pv500 plasma and fill
up a big space in the stand. Funds are a bit tight though after
purchasing the plasma , stand and cables so I'm looking to enter at the
    budget end.
The two amps I have in mind are the Yamaha 350 and the Denon
1705 -I've not yet decided, both get great reviews, any thoughts? I can push the budget to about £250 so would consider any other models.

The main reason for the upgrade is because of the sound quality on the
pioneer, overall I'm very happy with the sound performance but the
centre speaker Is the main problem, although the centre speaker supplied
has a spec of 100W the speech is very low and hollow compared to the front and
rears. The problem may be due to my room and layout, living room and
dinning room is all in one and is 29ft L x 13ft W in total, my set up is
in an alcove next to the fire pointing out into the living room/dining
room. Having a system played at high volume is not my priority as I
mainly watch films at night and need to consider my 3 year old daughter
and moaning neighbours ;) The sound levels of the front speaker is a
    major problem for me.

Thanks for bearing with me so far -
My question is, I thinking of purchasing the amp first so would it be ok to
hook up the satellite speakers from the pioneer until I get the funds to
purchase a new 6.1 set, the sticker on the back of the speakers advises
to only use them with the amp supplied or there may be a risk of fire.
Is this a genuine warning, is it likely to happen or just spiel to cover
Would the amp make a difference to the sound of the pioneer centre or
should I just purchase a new bigger centre?

Thanks for bearing with me and I look forward to reading any
    advice/suggestions you guys have.
This forum has been of great help to me over the past few weeks. Thanks!
