hi all
i have been reading review after review on lcd, led, plasma, edge lit panels, fully back lit ones and still no luck and would like advice please ive spent all day on here.
here is my story
bought a samsung le46c750 3d tv loved it to bits had one flaw it blinked every now and then which became annoying, got a replacement update the firmware reset the tv, again it blinked, had service guy out said he report it back to samsung, amazon agreed to send 3rd replacement, again same issue updated to current firmware reset the tv again a blink still to this day no reply from samsung on this issue people with 50 inch samsung 3d tvs hae this issie and led version so couldnt go plasma or led on that model,
samsung one went back then got lg lx6900, to me its awful, its a spotlight effect in each corner and bad banding on sports, glasses are awful annot use if you wear glasses like i do, so its going back, howeve that was the second lg lx6900 as the first had a bad led bleed due to delivery so was left in box till replacement came back.
now i would love a 3d set, but im one of the oh no i dont want a plasma et scared of ir, ghosting wavey pixels screen burn as i have young kids and cbeebies will be on 6 hours none stop thats a fact, so dont want screen image burn.
ive heard the samsing psc6900 or psc7000 has issues specially the psc7000 hs it has the blink issue as there is a dedicated forum for that issue that i followed.
my budget is £1200.00
was looking at sony kdl 46 703 think it was, samsung le46c650, thats as far as i got as all the others either had bad problems and just put me off, ive been to currys but all the sets are in demo mode anyway no remotes about to mess with, i did like the panny 3d tv but it was 42 inch and like i said due to young kida and hearing about image retention, ghosting, burn in and the 200 work in and dont leave a static image on for 2 hours in first 200 hours just wont be possible.

Honestly, yes you will get some IR( wont be too noticeable and will go in no time) All you need to do is not have contrast high. I have a V20 and game, use my PC and live on here using my PS3 every day, only IR Ive noticed was when I went looking for and it soon went. All I did was use THX all on default, no slides, no special settings. After 200 I started using the pro settings, I still only have contrast and brightness around half way, I find I dont need more, if for some reason I need a bit more pop I may add a bit more contrast but most the time its round mid way if not below.
