For a change, Virgin have some top titles in the BOGOF sale. However, £19.99 so there is a catch.

Lots on offer and ten quality films for a ton cannot be bad.

    If it's whom I think you're referring to - a week.

I'm sure there's a few good titles in there though - nice spot.

I know its buy one get one free, ut it doesnt seem like a good offer to me. Looking at the CSI boxsets, they are £39.99 at virgin so you would get two for forty. Looked for csi at www.find-dvd.co.uk and you can get them for about £13 each, so £26 for 2!! I suspect most of the titles will be like that.

Cool Runnings for £15.99!!!!! They must be having a laugh, you can get it for a fiver at Woolies in the high street!!!

Can’t find many ‘true’ bargains. Although have only had a quick flick through. Has anyone seen anything of note?

i suppose if you really look, there are a few titles more or less worth a tenner. you can get the italian job original/remake boxset in the deal, as well as dodgeball, van helsing 2 disc (i think) and a couple of other recentish movies and boxsets. still not really as good as web prices.

I think this is a very poor offer to be honest, I have seen anything that would be classed as a bargain. Is the offer better in the shops or is it the same as it is on the net?

Totally. I was in HMV today trying to find any of the cheap Thunderbirds disks (the ones that were £1.99 in the Easter sale). I asked a staff member if there were any left, he said no but we've got them for £15.99, would I like them? Yeah right  !!

yes. and they're right to an extent. not with us of course, we all know where to find a bargain, but the average punter still doesn't realise that you don't have to pay £15-£20 for a dvd, so getting a 2 Disc SE for £12.50 sounds like a right bargain to them!!

incidentally, stores constantly change the type of sale they do from BOGOF, BOGOHP, 3 FOR 20/5 FOR 30, 2 FOR 20 because each different type of sale attracts a new selection of punters with different ideas of what constitutes a bargain, despite the fact they're all pretty much the same under the surface. I'm partial to the 5 for £30 myself, they sometimes even manage to under cut the internet prices!

I can't really complain as I picked up Man on Fire(2 Disc) & City of Men (mini series) for £19.99. Haven't seen either of these for under a tenner individually anywere.

Also got Dodgeball & A Beautiful Mind (2 Disc) for £12.99.

Not such a bad deal for these.

The only title I noticed instore was Tomb Raider 1&2 Boxset
not bad for £10 if you can find one to go with it.They still had
it priced up at £26.99 on one of the other stands.
