Maybe someone can help me. We are new to the Xbox One scene as are having problems with understanding how games are installed.

Whenever I put a disk in, after 25% you get the message that the game is ready to start although it has not finished installing, so, what is still going on as the game seems to work properly?

Some games will allow single player side of the game to start before the whole game is installed. Some features like multiplayer may not be available until it's fully installed.

Not much more can be added, if it states its ready to start then you can start but this doesn't mean its fully installed obviously, in some cases this only means you can boot up to the menu and nothing else, other games let you start the single player and it will continue installing in the background while you play.
