re-setting sky+ after a power cut

Due to an intermittent electrical fault in our house we have been having regular but brief power outages. After an outage, Sky+ takes forever to re-set itself to receive a signal - is there a way to manually re-set the satellite reception via the menus ?
Another problem (which may be unrelated) is that the 7day program guide often only shows the next 2 days

Any advice appreciated!

Sky+ boxes take a while to power up, can be a minute or so. Never timed it. That's normal though.

The EPG fault you report won't be being helped by the power cuts, it won't know whether to sh*t shave or shampoo.

My advice - sort your mains out sharpish. A very large number of faults in modern electronic equipment are caused by this kinda thing.

Meanwhile, is there any fast re-set button on Sky+?

No, you have to wait for two minutes for the system to reboot.
