I have several 720p high def files on my pc, the are in the .ts format which i understand is mpeg2. This makes the files very bulky, is there software that will allow me to re-encode the files in the 720p hidef formats used for wm9 files or the high def format that divx uses?

Yes, if they are legitimate files (see here ), it's possible to convert.

The thread detailing this may have been deleted - rules, but the info should be easily available. Try a search.
