    Evening all!

My unit is getting very noisy so I guess it is time to have Richer Sounds take a look and sort under their wonderful warranty!!

The disk is about one-third full and I don't have time at the moment to copy onto DVD. Can I use the DV out (firewire) to transfer over to my PC? If not, is there any other way than using DVD-RAM? Finally, is it simple to do?

    Thanks for any help

Have you formatted the HDD lately? If not try it - ensuring anything you want to keep has been dubbed to DVD-RAM.

No - the connection is DV input only.

    Use DVD-RW or DVD-R?
