I tried last week to inspect my Toshiba to find out if is there is any chance to change the hard disk.
First of all I connected the original hard disk on my pc with Linux to check if the partition table is readable but... nothing! :(
The hard disk is a Maxtor 80Gb, I replaced it with another Maxtor with the same capacity but it was not readable by the recorder (blank screen), no info has beed displayed on the screen so I cannot format it.
Is there any way to clone the original hard disk to another with the same capacity (I don't think you can put a bigger disk into it)?
