I have the same problem with my Toshiba 210E, via the hack it´ll play RCE but wont access the special features.

I´m not overly fussed about special features as i´d rather have better quality video & audio (like the new superbit titles).

I dont think there is a way round it, but i´m sure someone else could confirm this.

    cheers

    Hi guys,

there is indeed a way around this problem allowing access to the extras but it requires a bit of experimentation to find the extra that you want (this works for the 2109 definately.
Iv'e started with the hack you probably already know for playing the discs for clarity:

    1. Put in the disc.
2. You'll see the RCE warning sign, a world map
3. Press MEMORY on the remote control.
4. Press 01 in the Title Box.
5. Press 00 in the Chapter Box.
6. Press ENTER Note: The DVD will play the movie, but MENU will not take you back to th RCE warning screen again.

By Experimenting with title 2 and chapter 1 etc will get you the special features.

    Hope this helps.

My dvd player is the Tosh SD2109 which was bought from Link online a couple of years ago, pre-chipped to play R1 discs. With the advent of RCE, I am aware of the hack which allows you play the film on a RCE disc, but it does not seem to allow you access to any bonus features on the disc. Before this week, the only RCE disc which I had purchased was The Patriot, but I have just bought A Knight's Tale, blissfully unaware that it also was RCE. Again, I can play the movie using the usual hack, but whilst I can move around the bonus feature menus, I can not actually get any of them to play. Does anyone know if I can actually access these features using this dvd player, and if so how? Help guys!
