I'm getting a Denon 1920 soon, and the shop I'm buying it from will make it a multi-region unit. Does anyone know if the hack used will also clear the way for using RCE encoded discs or does something else need doing. Those in the shop have not heard of RCE. Thanks

Probably. RCE is quite old and most (or all?) new machines, deregioned, will cope with Region 1 RCE perfectly well.

FWIW, my Pioneer 737 (several years old), Pioneer 520 (almost new), Panasonic L50 portable, and my friend's Denon 2900, all supplied region free, all play R1 RCE without issue.

Yes, if supplied via a Denon authorised dealer the mod is RCE compatible.
