RBG RCA TO DVI - any good

Hi Guys.. are thies any good?

i dont want them to go from the PC to plasma but from the RGB to DVI into the plasma. would it work?

Not RGB, no. On a compatible DVI-I socket it might work, but RGB is in fact RGB and S for sync. No socket there for that part of the signal.

guess with DVI its not taking the Sync off green for anything. ie its not needed

There are separate pins in a DVI-I socket for analogue, some DVI is DVI-D which does not have them, so no guarantees whatever signal.

Your looking at a cable adapter not a converter - there's no signal conversion going on within the adapter.

As MAW says if you have a DVI-I input on your Plasma its compatible with a range of Digital and Analogue signals via the one connector.

If you have a YPbPr 'Component' video source + 3RCA to 3RCA cable + the ATI adapter + a DVI-I input on your display your in luck.

If your Display is a Panasonic 7 Series - then your not; it has a DVI-D Input (Digital only).
